About us

From within the country, for the country.

CareFlow Technologies is a health technology company in Malawi. All research, hardware, software and support happen in-house.

Our mission

To empower healthcare workers with technology that extends their reach, reduces preventable errors, and allows them to deliver safer, more efficient care to every patient in their care.

Our vision

To become the leading medical technology company in Southern Africa, setting the standard for affordable, practical innovation that improves patient outcomes in healthcare systems where the need is greatest.

Our story

We saw the problem first-hand.

CareFlow was founded by biomedical engineers who saw the problem first-hand in Malawian hospitals: nurses stretched across wards full of patients on IV drips, checking each one by hand.

We set out to build a monitor that fits the realities of those wards: unreliable power, patchy Wi-Fi, existing drip sets and no time for lengthy training. Every prototype since has been shaped by feedback from the nurses who use it.

Our focus today is proving impact in Malawi. Our ambition is to bring practical, locally built medical technology to healthcare systems across Southern Africa.
